25 Year Celebration!

To celebrate 25 years since its first launch, Stampin' Up! have released some fantastic new stamps...

The first are a range of single stamps, which all come as clear mount, and are priced at between £6.50 and £6.95. They're all available now, and will be available (subject to availability) until 31st August this year.

The next are launched on a monthly basis, and come as sets. The first set is out now, and has a floral theme. Each month until October this year, a new theme will be launched. Again, subject to availability, the stamps will be available until 31st March 2014.

Another Swallowtail card...

I told you it was going to become one of my favourites, and it has!

I find this stamp soo versatile- you can use it for anything, and change the way that you use it and colour schemes to suit any need.

This was another reverse embossing method; you emboss using a light coloured powder, then once it's been heated, you colour over it using inks and sponges. 

You can see from the picture, I used 2 blues- darker in the middle and lighter around the outside.

I loved this stamp the moment I saw it, but because it's retired, I found it really hard to track one down. Fortunately I spotted one for sale and jumped at the chance to buy it. Just created a quick card using it, and was definitely reminded of why I had to have it!

I also love the colour combination of Pink Pirouette and Pool Party, and these two ribbons together.

In a fluttery mood...

I'm not sure whether it's the time of year, or my hope that spring will soon appear, but I'm really into butterflies at the moment.

Here's another quick card, used the Simply Scored tool to create the embossed lattice effect in the background.
